Ceviche and Jalea Mixta were good and the waitress very attentive. Too bad we found a hair in the parihuela soup

Bad experience at C-viche restaurant, food was disappointing. We let the waitress know about the over cooked rice and canned beans that they gave me as tacu tacu, no authentic Peruvian food just one more of the Peruvian restaurant that has expensive dishes and mediocre food. Service was fine by the way.

Today I purchased a Miami Herald Deal Saver for this place and my wife and I came here for dinner. The restaurant has only opened about a month ago. It is in the corner of University and Pines Blvd where the Hooters is. We walked in at 6 pm and we're the only patrons. The waiter was very friendly and even the owner paid a visit to our table to ask if everything was good. I love that kind of service!! We ordered for appetizer the chicken Causa, the one from the picture. It is like yummy mashed potatoes but with a harder texture, stuffed with chicken salad and avocado. It was really good. I had the Ceviche Mixto, which is probably Peru's most famous dish. It is basically a cold dish of lemon marinated fish and mix seafood. The portion was large enough for me not to finish. It was really fresh tasting and delicious. My wife ordered the Tallarines Verde with Churrasco which is Perivians version of spaghetti with pesto sauce and steak. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The spaghetti tasted great. My wife had more than half left so she was happy to take it for lunch. Overall, it was a really good impression made not only by the staff, but more importantly, the food. I'm sure we will be back.

Unfortunately I have to give this place one star...went for lunch with my sis and we ended up extremely disappointed with our meal. We ordered the TacuTacu a lo pobre and let me tell you it was by far the worst TacuTacu I ever had in my whole life.. my five year old niece can make it better for sure!!! Is sad to see a new Peruvian restaurant trying to trick their customer giving blah food at expensive prices when Peruvian cuisine is simple, delicious and affordable.. Please just skip this place!

Went here last night with my Peruvian boyfriend. I had Aji de Gallina and he had Tacu Tacu con Lomo Saltado. We knew we wanted Aji de Gallina, but didn't know what else to get so we asked the waitress. Of course she pointed out the more expensive items. But we decided on the Tacu Tacu con Lomo Saltado after awhile. The Tacu Tacu was mediocre. Rice wasn't really that crispy like it should be and the Lomo Saltado was bland and needed salt. Also the beans didn't with the rice didn't really taste that great either. However, the Aji de Gallina was very good. It was creamy and delicious. The rice that came out with it was a bit stale though. Everything is overpriced. You can get great Peruvian food for less. Will we come back? Yeah, but just for the aji de gallina.

Went here 10/18/14 - oh, how I dislike giving a place a poor review, but it must be done. Ordered a ceviche, I received fish with lemon water. Sad, very sad. My husband ordered the green rice with chicken. It was dry and bland. Cannot recommend this place in good conscience.

Hi, my family and I were finding a Peruvian restaurant and by accident we went to C-viche, it was a delicious mistake. We are Peruvian and we like to search every weekend good Peruvian restaurant to eat, maybe a lot people are looking for a excellent plate presentation but for us the taste is the most important thing. We recommend Ceviche clásico (Classic Ceviche) and Jalea mixta (Fried Seafood). Wait for our next comment about Peruvian restaurant. Goodbye.

The staff here are super nice, but the food... eh, it's alright. If you work around the area, you might come here sometimes for lunch, but I don't see anyone making a special trip for this place. Some of the more expensive items on the menu are definitely not worth the price, but you could squeeze a pretty decent lunch out of it.
